Search-it Solutions and Search-it’s first release, Apexiem, organically evolved from the need for a platform geared to title and tax searching. CEO Bernardo and COO Matt met in 2013 when Bernardo’s title search company hired Matt’s custom software development firm while looking for software to run his title search business. Bernardo was looking for software that could fulfill the needs of his growing company and service his customers and a solution did not yet exist.
The initial application they created grew as it helped the company grow exponentially. Matt’s expertise in architecting software and Bernado’s expansive knowledge about real estate came together to solve a missing piece in the real estate/title searching software market and Search-it Solutions was created.
Our mission: To modernize business to business (B2B) real property search interactions by creating innovative cloud-based utilities, tools, and applications.
Bernardo Bigalli
Chief Executive Officer
Bernardo Bigalli is the CEO of Search-it Solutions and has over 15 years of experience in real estate, title search and title insurance. Bernardo is also the founder of KCS Land Research, Legacy Title Services, LLC and Legacy National Corporation. Bernardo brings his extensive knowledge of the industry to Search-it Solutions.
His diverse background allows him to bring knowledge of and experience in related fields such as mortgages, real estate and financial & insurance services. Bernardo endeavors to develop new partnerships with professionals that share his core values of integrity, honesty and excellence. He is honored to serve his community in various charitable efforts and contributes both in time and finances to various worthwhile organizations.
Bernardo lives in Schenectady with his wife and two beautiful children.
Matthew Carmichael
Chief Operations Officer
Matthew Carmichael is the COO of Search-it Solutions and has over 20 years experience designing and producing custom software applications and managing a successful consulting business. Matt is also the founder of SaQus LLC, a successful custom software development and consulting firm he founded in 1996, and brings that expertise to Search-it Solutions where he now focuses on creating cloud based tools to revolutionize the real estate industry.
Matt has authored over 300 custom applications, and specializes in creating custom applications for organizations that have unique processes that cannot be fulfilled by off-the-shelf software. He has created business critical applications for Saint Gobain Performance Plastics, SI Group, Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI), New York State Education Department, and Office of the New York State Comptroller.
Matt has over 20,000 hours of Agile project experience serving in various roles including: project team member, scrum master, project manager, and product owner; in addition to providing Agile training to project teams and managers. Matt specializes in presenting software development techniques to those without technical backgrounds. His “easy to understand” approach provides an effective software development overview to executive management.
Matt lives in Mechanicville, New York with his wife and two much-loved dogs.
